Find Me
Game & System Designer

My Role
I worked as the game designer and project creator, responsible for developing the original concept, creating the prototype, and defining the core gameplay systems. After the prototype phase, I directed the development of the final Unity version and defined the main game modes, gameplay structure, and overall player experience.
Role
Description
This project is a mobile puzzle game built around a simple visual recognition mechanic. Players are shown a specific character they must find, and their task is to quickly identify the correct one among many similar icons. The icons resemble stylized emoji-like characters such as faces, animals, and geometric shapes, often with very small visual differences to increase the challenge.
The project started as a prototype I developed myself in Godot to test the core gameplay idea. After validating the concept, I collaborated with a developer who rebuilt the game professionally in Unity for the final version.
Design Process
The project began with experimenting with a simple idea: how quickly players can visually identify a specific character among many similar ones. The main design challenge was creating icons that were recognizable but still similar enough to make the search challenging. Early prototypes focused on testing different icon variations, grid sizes, and the number of distractor characters.
Once the core mechanic proved engaging, the next step was expanding the design into a complete game experience. This included defining different game modes that would provide variety while still using the same core mechanic.
Key Learnings
This project was my first attempt to create a Game and it helped me understand the full process of taking a small gameplay idea from prototype to a complete mobile game. It reinforced the importance of prototyping early to test core mechanics and showed how small variations in visual design can strongly affect gameplay difficulty. The project also provided experience in collaborating with a developer and translating a prototype into a polished final product.
Game Modes
The final version includes three different modes designed to create different types of player experiences.
The Level Mode introduces structured progression where players complete increasingly difficult levels. As the player progresses, the number of characters increases and visual differences between them become smaller, making the search more challenging.
The Endless Mode focuses on replayability and high score competition. Players try to identify as many correct characters as possible as quickly as they can, with difficulty gradually increasing over time. This mode emphasizes speed and accuracy.
The AI Multiplayer Mode creates a competitive experience where the player competes against an AI opponent. Both sides search for the correct character, and the first to find it scores a point. The match continues until one side reaches three points, creating a short competitive loop that adds tension to the core mechanic.
